This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains the conditions under which refunds or changes may apply for reservations made through our website and WooCommerce checkout.

1. General Conditions

All reservations must be fully paid in advance through our website.
We do not accept cash payments.

Refunds and modifications follow strict timelines due to vehicle assignment, scheduling logistics, and operational costs.

2. Cancellation Policy

2.1 Refund Windows

Refunds apply according to the following timeframe:

     

      • 36 to 24 hours before the trip:
        100% refund (processed within 30 days)

      • 24 to 12 hours before the trip:
        🔶 50% refund (processed within 30 days)

      • Less than 12 hours before the trip:
        No refund

    2.2 Last-Minute Reservations

    Trips reserved within 4 hours of the scheduled pickup time:

       

        • Are considered last-minute

        • Are not eligible for cancellations, modifications, or refunds

      2.3 How to Request a Cancellation

      To request a cancellation, contact us via:

        Include:

           

            • Full name

            • Order number

            • Trip date and time

            • Cancellation reason


          3. No-Show Policy

          A No-Show occurs when the passenger does not board the vehicle within the included waiting time.

             

              • Drivers wait up to 1 hour after the scheduled pickup time

              • If the passenger does not appear, the service is marked as NO SHOW

              • No refund applies


            4. Modification Policy

            Modifications are allowed up to 8 hours before the trip, depending on availability.

            Changes may result in an adjusted fare if they involve:

               

                • Different routes

                • Pickup or drop-off changes

                • Passenger count changes

                • Luggage amount changes

                • Schedule changes

              Modifications requested within 8 hours of the trip cannot be guaranteed and may not be accepted.


              5. External Factors — No Refund Eligibility

              Refunds do not apply when delays or issues occur due to factors beyond our control, including:

                 

                  • Traffic or road congestion

                  • Weather conditions

                  • Natural disasters

                  • Road closures

                  • Police checkpoints

                  • Mechanical failures

                  • Accidents or unforeseen incidents

                These situations do not qualify for compensation or refunds.


                6. Service Cancellation Due to Policy Violations

                Nice Trip Guatemala reserves the right to cancel a trip without refund if the passenger:

                   

                    • Brings prohibited items

                    • Behaves aggressively toward the driver

                    • Attempts to include more passengers than allowed

                    • Causes damage to the vehicle

                    • Violates safety rules

                  These conditions are outlined in our Service & Safety Guidelines.


                  7. Damage, Cleaning Fees & Liability

                  In cases where the passenger causes damage to the vehicle (including spills, burns, vomiting, or misuse), the cost of repair or cleaning must be covered by the passenger.

                  Such incidents do not qualify for refunds.


                  8. Refund Processing Time

                  Eligible refunds (100% or 50%) are:

                     

                      • Processed within 30 days

                      • Returned via the same payment method (Recurrente)

                    Recurrente may have its own processing times.

                    9. Lost & Found Items

                    We attempt to help recover forgotten personal items but:

                       

                        • We do not guarantee retrieval

                        • We are not responsible for lost or stolen items

                        • These situations do not qualify for refunds
